Solutions and Resources (S&R) offers immediate and ongoing care to those impacted by various forms of violence, with a focus on trauma-related support. The organization, led by Pastor Donovan Price, names, acknowledges, and addresses the impact of violence on a whole community. For example, with a homicide, Solutions and Resources supports everyone impacted by the homicide – not just the immediate family member – through activities such as grief support and prayer, and their work is valued by many in the community. Their mission is to provide a holistic pathway to healing for the surviving victims of violence in Chicago. Since its founding, S&R has been able to provide services at more than 300 shootings and is deeply involved with families at scenes of trauma.

Chicago Beyond has made a multiyear investment in S&R totaling $1M to support their healing work, along with supports to advance that vision.
