Chicago Nonprofits Got $1 Million in Unrestricted Funding. Here's How Some Used It.

Chicago Beyond invested $3 million into smaller, hyperlocal, organizations which are often underfunded.  In addition, the awards required no applications and were trust-based, giving leaders the time and freedom to do what is best for their communities based on their own experience.  Two organizations highlighted in this article are Rapid Response Fund partners: ChiFresh Kitchen and Hood Heroes.
