Summer Youth Engagement
One Summer Chicago offers employment and internship opportunities to thousands of young people as a key component of the city’s anti-violence strategy. This program caters to youth and young adults aged 14 to 24, and receives support from government institutions, community-based organizations, and companies.
Our Investment
With a $4 million investment from Chicago Beyond, One Summer Chicago matched more than 3,000 youth in high-risk situations with summer jobs, mentorship, and counseling. Today, One Summer Chicago’s work continues to support youth, including 24,700 opportunities realized for young people last year.
