Providing Teens with Out-of-School Time Opportunities
After School Matters (ASM) enables teens to discover their potential and define their future. They provide paid after-school and summer program opportunities to more than 24,000 Chicago high school students every year, providing exposure and experience around college and career readiness when it matters most.
Our Investment
After School Matters discovered they were serving more female students than male students. Chicago Beyond collaborated with After School Matters to address this disparity by providing $1.2 million in funding and strategic assistance to attract and retain young men, ensuring their easier participation and continued engagement in After School Matters programs.
