Whole Philanthropy

Consciousness, Connectedness, With, Not For

Earlier in our journey, Chicago Beyond developed Whole Philanthropy as a framework to articulate our philanthropic approach. In it, we share our orientation at that time – increasing consciousness, strengthening connectedness, and standing in solidarity with our partners – as well as how this comes to life in our partnership model and impact analysis.

Today, we continue to adhere to many of the core tenants of Whole Philanthropy, while also continuing to learn, grow, and evolve over time.

Whole Philanthropy

Driving impact that endures requires funders to engage with grant partners as equals. Whole Philanthropy is a framework that articulates a reimagined orientation for funding, one that increases consciousness, prizes connectedness, and results in more equitable partnership practices.
