After School Matters (ASM) provides paid after-school and summer program opportunities to more than 18,000 Chicago high school students every year, providing exposure and experience around college and career readiness when it matters most. However, ASM was reaching more females than males. We wanted to help them close that gap with funding and innovative strategies to recruit and retain young men, making it as easy as possible for them to join and stay in ASM’s programs.
