THIS IS ABOUTINVESTING INJUSTICE
We invest in organizations, community leaders, and equitable research opportunities that are positioned to change the lives of young people in Chicago.
Whether it’s an idea in its early stages, or an organization at a critical inflection point, we design tailored plans that fit their unique goals and grow their impact.
Our approach is holistic — we invest in everything from education, to youth safety, to community development, to health, wellness, and beyond. This is important because there is no single barrier to equity.
HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO
We invest in organizations fighting to promote a more equitable future for young people in Chicago across a variety of issues. First, we provide multi-year transformative funding that allows our partners to take their ideas and operations to the next level. Then, we work side-by-side with them as they chart their future to grow their impact. We also support our partners’ learning research projects, providing the insights and knowledge necessary to fight for youth equity in the most impactful ways possible.
We work with high-impact community leaders, giving them the means to further put their expertise into action on behalf of Chicago’s youth. With our Leadership Ventures, we support individuals with a vision for a more equitable future, collaborating with them to make it a reality. Our current Leader is Dr. Nneka Tapia, psychologist and former warden of the Cook County Department of Corrections.
We invest in research, art, and community initiatives to co-create and spread knowledge that promotes greater equity for youth. Through partnerships with researchers from universities such as Drexel University, the University of Chicago and the University of California, Berkeley, we are fueling equitable research projects to improve life outcomes for more young Chicagoans.
